Shipping Answers
Is there a charge for shipping?
Cemetery Markers and Headstones are shipped free of charge within the
continental USA (48 States). If they are shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada,
or some other county there will be an additional charge for shipping.
Please contact Customer Service for applicable shipping charges.
There is a shipping charge for the following products: Memorial Benches,
Cremation Benches, Columbariums, Mausoleums, Urns, Statues, and Vases.
The shipping charge is in addition to the price displayed for these products
on the web site.
How will my monument be packed for shipping?
Your monument will be shipped in a wood crate, packed with Styrofoam.
The wood crate is then securely fastened to a wood pallet.
Where and when will my monument be delivered?
In most cases we will ship directly to the cemetery (unless otherwise
specified by you). Someone will have to sign for the delivery. We can
not deliver to unattended cemeteries which may be the situation with rural
and church cemeteries. For in stock monuments it will take approximately
6 to 8 weeks from the time of purchase, layout design proofs have been
approved, and cemetery approval has been received to the time the monument
is delivered. Out of stock monuments and custom monuments may take additional
time depending on the amount of customization involved, and may take 4
to 5 months for delivery.
Can the monument be shipped to my home?
No. Most headstones are quite heavy weighing 700 lbs to more than 2,000
lbs depending on the design. Monuments are shipped in wood crates that
are securely fastened to wood pallets. Monuments can only be shipped to
the cemetery or to a commercial address that has the capability to take
delivery (they have a commercial loading dock, and pallet truck-jack).
What if the monument arrives damaged?
The customer is responsible for inspecting freight for missing items or
signs of damage upon receipt of goods. All freight, loss, and damage claims
must be filed with the shippers insurance company within ten (10) days
from the date the shipment was delivered. Failure to do so may cause the
Insurance Company to deny the claim. If shipping damage occurs, please
contact us for further
instructions. We will assist you in filing the insurance claim.
What if the memorial is shipped but never arrives?
In the case of lost freight, customer must report the lost shipment within
ten (10) days after a reasonable time for delivery has elapsed. Failure
to do so may cause the Shippers Insurance Company to deny the claim. Clear
Stream Monuments will assist you with filing the insurance claim and replacing
the lost memorial.
If you have other shipping questions, please feel free to contact
us. We are always eager to assist you.
